A Note From Our Pastor

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

 

Welcome to our church. We are so glad you have chosen to visit with us. Trinity has a long and lasting history in Huntington, WV. The Trinity Church of God has been active in the community since 1898 (some of us have been here a little less than that). Trinity is affiliated with the Anderson Church of God located in Anderson, Indiana.  We are out of the Wesleyan holiness movement, and are committed to live our lives reflective of the Lord we serve.

 

 As you visit you will see that we have many different ministries that are going on each and every week. We have several children and youth ministries (e.g. Wednesday night, Bible bowl, children’s church, Sunday school, after school Tuesday, choirs, plays at Christmas and Easter and many more). There are also many adult related ministries going on for you to be involved (e.g. Prayer, small groups, Adult Education, Christian Women Connection, Men Ministry, Choir, Music, Praise Team etc…). The Trinity Church of God seeks to keep Christ the center of all that we do in our service and life for him. 

 

Our focus is on the Word of God and Prayer in the life of the body of Christ. We strive to be a body that reaches out into the community that we live and interact, trying to bring hope to the hopeless, trying to encourage the discouraged, and trying to bring laughter to those who are hurting. Our mission as the church comes from the words of our Master in Matt 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Our purpose is to change our culture for the cause of Christ. We hope that you will join us in this endeavor.
